The Hazards of Live TV: # 25,129

Saying something one moment which becomes inoperative the next. Yes CNN looks, on the surface, two faced…and desperate for airing the picture. Worse, John King’s “We have some standards here” quip is an inadvertent slam at sister network HLN, which did air the photo Tuesday.

The bottom line: The fact that one CNN show decided not to air the photo and another did is not the reason we’re talking about this. That alone isn’t enough to make this newsworthy. We’re talking about it because King tacked on the “We have some standards here” line. The moral: Be careful about what statements you make about your network on live TV. They may come back to haunt you.

  1. Twisted sister.

  2. CNN = CSI News Network

  3. Hey, today they had shots of a couple skydiving with one chute, if you get my drift. It’s all good.

  4. Forgot to check that damn box.
