What’s Hot/What’s Not: 03/31/13

What’s Hot:

Tucker Carlson – Gets hired to co-host Fox and Friends Weekend

Kate Bolduan – Tapped to co-host CNN’s new morning show with Chris Cuomo.

What’s Not:

The Anderson Cooper/Kathy Griffin Comedy Hour – Or whatever CNN was meddling with for a pilot. Burn the tapes!

John King – King made a comment about the state of cable news programming in the mornings…apparently unaware that it would take off like wildfire across the internet.

Erin Burnett – Left twisting in CNN’s 7pm wind after Bolduan got hired for mornings.

  1. That’s, um, Kate Bolduan. Which makes a general point all by itself.

  2. Brooke Baldwin definitely did the tryout, but I assume Zucker wants to keep her on daytime, and it’s too much a gamble on such personality. On the other hand, I reckon the only way Burnett can survive is to copy Megyn Kelly’s America Live format, having more provocative guests on (she recently has started booking Stephanie Miller on, which is a fairly good guest pick i think), also wardrobe wise (no offence) she gotta copy Megyn’s too, if one may realise, she often goes sleeveless, whilst Erin seldom, though they already adopt the “legs” wide shot.. I once read one of the reasons why Campbell Brown failed at CNN (though sounds fairly silly) was that they always have one camera shot at her face throughout her programme.

If CNN wants a “legs” wide shot then Steph Miller is THE perfect choice. She has spectacular long, shapely gams and she loves showin’ em’ off.
When Steph had her own talk show, she was THE hottest leg show on TV.

BTW, the sassy redhead Brooke Baldwin & Biz babe Chris Romans have THE best gams on CNN since Heidi Collins left for MSP.

  4. Dames. Gotta love ’em.

  5. I think Spud would be well served to make his underlined text a hyperlink for each news item in his list.

Not all his site visitors are familiar with the details of all the stories he cites. Or only vaguely familiar and would like to know more without having to search the Internet.

    Just my two cents.

  6. I think a neat April Fool’s gag would be to have Brianna Keilar replace Kate Bolduan one morning and see if anyone notices.
