Matthews is gonna need a new replacement host: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/michael-smerconish-joins-cnn-will-host-weekend-show/

My favorite line: “I think the type of content I seek to provide is perfectly suited for CNN’s non-ideological brand.”

  2. “Michael Smerconish will join CNN as host of a new weekly program that will air live on Saturday mornings from New York,”

MSNBC’s loss is a CNN zero gain.

  3. At This Hour with John Berman and Michael Pereira (CNN) seems to be off to a solid start. They are certainly a good pairing; wouldn’t surprise me if At This Hour ended up expanding and maybe replacing New Day altogether… eventually.

Top 2 stories on Hardball tonight: Bridge-gate.
Nowhere on the rundown: Delay of the Mandate.

Remember when Chris was against unilateral lawless cowboy actions?

I can’t wait for President Jindal to open ANWR, throw out the Corporate Income tax, and give vouchers to all public school students. Think Matthews will be as blasé?

  5. Nixon - niila niihpikiiookwa meentwasiaani Says:

USA Today turned into a manure spreader years ago.

That’s a farm reference for the easily offended.

  6. DIRECTV introduced the “press the red button for your local weather” today that used to be a key feature of the WEATHER CHANNEL.

  7. TRUE DETECTIVE on HBO. Good stuff.

  8. Nixon - niila niihpikiiookwa meentwasiaani Says:

Ever since I saw “Goldfinger,” red buttons have unnerved me.
