  1. Obama’s Ukraine strategy of putting “Sheriff Joe” on the phone worked about as well as putting him in charge of Cash For Clunkers.
Meanwhile, as the bodies pile up in Syria, Thailand, and Ukraine, MSNBC still has this bridge they want to sell you. If only Ron Popeil were a left-winger. They’d give him the Chris Hayes hour.

  2. 11 am Eastern

    MSNBC doing Bridgegate
    FNC doing Obamacare

CNN is actually telling us about the Ukraine

  3. ^That almost reads like a parody, doesn’t it?

Fox News: “World Ends! Meanwhile another Obamacare Glitch”.

MSNBC: “World Ends, Christie Denies Knowledge of It”

CNN: “World Ends! International Community Holds Emergency Meeting”.

Yeah, leave this stuff to Stewart. Hey, I gave it a shot.

  4. Nah, let’s try this one:

Fox News: “World Ends! Obamacare now Worthless”

    There, I’ll stop now.

  5. Not bad, erich.

FNC: World Ends! Hillary still won’t answer Benghazi questions.

HLN: World Ends! How will this affect the [INSERT LATEST COURT CASE DuJUOR] verdict?

CNN: World Ends! For analysis, let’s turn to David Gergen and Donna Brazille

CC: World Ends! How will we make fun of Fox News Now?

    CNBC: World Ends! Will QE-Infinity?

TWC: World Ends! Please call DirectTV and tell them you want to see the apocalypse.

  6. AJAM: World Ends! But we’re still funded.

  7. MSNBC: World Ends: Republican chances to retake the Senate lost.

  8. MSNBC: “World Ends” Latest In Racist Republican Dog Whistles

  9. CNN: World Ends — Ted Nugent a supporter.

  10. REM: World Ends, And I Feel Fine

  11. ICN Edition: “World Ends: Devo Still Doesn’t Belong in the R&R Hall of Fame.”

Okay, ICN if I ran it.

That just might get me banned.

No guts, no glory, I say.

    Devo in the HoF?

  12. savefarris Says:

ESPN: World Ends! How will this affect Peyton and Kobe’s legacies?

ESPN2: World Ends! How this will affect the ACC come Tourney time

SEC N: World Ends! It’s the B1G’s fault!

Food: World Ends! Next up on Guy’s Big Bite – Apoca-Burgers!

HGN: World Ends! Real Estate’s never been more affordable.

Fox Sports 1: World Ends! What, did we get a viewer or something?

  13. savefarris Says:

I wouldn’t necessarily have a problem w/ Devo in the RRHOF. I’d have put them in before I put in current enshrines such as Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Gene Vincent, Laura Nyro, James Taylor (YEAH, I SAID IT!), and other “pop” acts that don’t fall under the “rock” banner.

This is where white liberals ignore the black lady cuz white liberals really know what’s up.

  15. A little late: Chuck Todd was interviewing a guy from Texas who is a contributing author to the New Yorker Magazine. The guy didn’t have many complimentary things to say about Wendy Davis and poor Chuck could not figure out how to ask a question of the guy to get the kind of answer he wanted.

The humming, starting, restarting was truly pathetic. So, Chuck had to move on to “Greg Abbot and his campaign kinds sucks, too, huh?”

  16. savefarris Says:

    That’ll teach Chuck.

“This is what happens when you talk about something other than Chris Christie. STICK TO THE SCRIPT!”

  17. savefarris Says:

For those of you who think politics is too strident and confrontational, please relax to the soothing sounds of Mr. Alan Grayson:

  18. QVC: World Ends! Clearance sale on all jewelry, next!

  19. I’ve been saying AJAM might overtake CNN sooner rather than later if CNN drops the ball on an international story. Well, it might be happening sooner than sooner.

  20. Andy, the only way Al Jazeera can capitalize more on the American audience is if when they introduce their shows or whatever, they say “AJAM”. A lot of people won’t put the AJAM connection to Al Jazeera as easily, and therefore may watch it easier. I mean, CNN doesn’t say Cable News Network, MSNBC doesn’t spell their out, and my guess says FOX doesn’t either. Plus, a lot of the presenters with very Middle Eastern names will turn a lot of people off.

Everything I highlighted goes back to racial/ethnic insensitivity, I know. But it will be a big problem for AJAM, still.

  21. “I’ve been saying AJAM might overtake CNN sooner rather than later if CNN drops the ball on an international story. Well, it might be happening sooner than sooner.”

^^If you are referring to ratings I don’t think that will happen. The thing is CNN is getting out of news coverage and into doing programing, docs and reality, that they hope will get them higher ratings than straight news coverage. They are probably right about that decision.

AJAM will replace CNN in viewers that want straight news coverage eventually but that audience is a niche market now will continue to decline in the coming years.

In a few years I see an even more fragmented cable news market with general opinion news coverage at FNC and MSNBC leading the pack and the rest; international, business, sports, entertainment, youth, elderly, ethnic, specific language, environmental, Tea Party, specific religion etc.; each having their own channel or channels covering news with a specific POV.

The era of a CNN style cable news covering all aspects of the news is over.

  22. Well CNN certainly seems to be trying to let AJAM overtake them. I watch a lot of cnn and don’t find it that bad; with some exceptions of course

  23. If I were AJAM reading Fritz, I’d just pull the plug.

  24. CNN is obsessed with Ted Nugent as a threat to all that’s holy, but the FCC sticking political watchers in newsrooms, no, barely a peep out of Zucker’s bunch about that 1st amendment threat.

  25. Ted Nugent, Michael Dunn, and it looks like that Jodie Arias may be rearing her ugly head soon. CNN your place for News!

  26. Gretchen Carlson just announced that she will on O’Reilly tonight on the Pinheads of the Week segment. I guess Greg Gutfeld is not doing that segment any longer.

I don’t know. A lot of younger viewers aren’t old enough to remember the beheading tapes Al Jazeera didn’t air and most likely were introduced to the network during the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.

I would’ve kept the Current name if I ran the network though.

  28. AJAM will replace CNN in viewers that want straight news coverage eventually but that audience is a niche market now will continue to decline in the coming years.

I’m not sure younger audiences care about these show trials as much as older generations do. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Well CNN certainly seems to be trying to let AJAM overtake them. I watch a lot of cnn and don’t find it that bad; with some exceptions of course

    CNN’s not even trying anymore.

  29. Ted Nugent has apologized to the President. I feel better; does CNN feel better?

my guess is Obama could care less.

  30. FCC pulls the plug on their unbelievably stupid “study”. Arrogance of government trumped by outrage of citizens.

  31. In preparation for “Ronan Farrow Daily” it is rumored the host will arrive at the studio a day early riding a donkey with palm branches scattered in front.

  32. The miricale on ice: no medals for men’s US hockey team.

  33. savefarris Says:

Maddow to Maher: “It may be more coverage than you want, but the bridge scandal is just as good as covering former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s corruption scandal.”

Yeah, I remember when Rachel led with Blago for 2 straight months…

  34. Maybe if they had Christie on tape saying, “and let’s sell the bridge… That’ll be fu€ken golden!”

  35. Piers we hardly knew Ye, and that was a good thing:
“@carr2n: Piers Morgan 9:00 pm show on CNN ending. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/24/business/media/piers-morgan-and-cnn-plan-end-to-his-prime-time-show.html My column about why it didn’t work.”

  36. FOX News had to issue a statement after erroneously reporting that Jimmie Johnson won the Daytona 500 after FOX Sports reaired the 2013 installment of the Great American Race during the longest rain delay in NASCAR history.
