I guess the MSM and President Obama owe him an apology, right?
I was impressed CBS has a reporter in the Ukraine military base in Crimea under the ultimatum threat by Russian troops. On CBS THIS MORNING she was standing in front of sandbags protecting a couple Ukrainian soldiers. Not a place I’d want to be if somebody gets trigger-happy.
Everybody knew Joe Wilson was right. Just upset at his rudeness for shouting truth to power. Now I wish he threw a shoe.
Early not hot nomination: MSNBC’s (severe lack of) coverage of the Ukraine crisis. Here’s a list of things I’ve seen when I’ve flipped to MSNBC today: Academy Awards, renewable energy activism, panel talking about an actress on Bates Motel and how Republicans are terrible for calling Obama’s foreign policy blunders out.
Who is covering the situation in Ukraine best? Thoughts?
Are you honestly expecting cable news discussion here? Only “discussion” that happens here anymore is a day-long echo chamber snarkfest about how liberals are all terrible people and all conservatives are all wonderful people. #yawn
To answer your question though, Al Jazeera America. CNN and FOX News have done a solid job. MSNBC is a joke.
The US is in the terrible position where we need this thug Putin more than he needs us.
He can cause all kinds of problems for us. In Afghanistan, in Syria and Iran, in the Middle East in general. And in Eastern Europe.
Obama made a disastrous – simply disastrous – decision to think that Putin would help us and not use that leverage against us.
I’m not blaming President Obama for the Ukrainian crisis. This is all Putin’s fault. But Obama – more so than Bush – has completely misread Putin’s intentions.
We’re in quite a fix right now.
And all this talk of sanctions against Russia is just that, talk. As Maria Bartaroma pointed out, those sanctions would hurt the US and Europe as hard as Russia, and Russia turning off their gas pipeline to Europe is a real weapon. Unless Putin suddenly gets sensitive to hurt feelings, talk isn’t going to make a dent.
McCain helping MSNBC make something out of nothing. McCain is upset that Cruz said Dole didn’t stand on conservative principles when he ran for POTUS and that’s why he lost. Somehow, McCain turns that into “was he standing on principles when he was injured in WWII?” And, Andrea Mitchell mentions how Dole can’t wave his arms like Cruz can.
Good Gawd. That’s the liberal playbook taking something out of context and baselessly attacking somebody. Typically it’s cuz, racism. This time, it’s anti-military? Who knows.
POTUS: Say Michael Sam, seeing that you’re the new face of g^y in the world of sports, you mind stopping by the WH Correspondent’s dinner so I can parade you around and show everyone how tolerant I am?
