Jim Clancy’s Epic Social Media Meltdown…

Oh…boy…CNN’s Jim Clancy should be in big trouble. Israellycool’s “Aussie Dave” documents a very public, very embarrassing for his employer, Twitter meltdown… (via J$)

Then after blogger Elder of Ziyon took Clancy to task and was called a “ZioNazi” by an antisemitic Clancy fan, the “journalist” did not castigate the antisemite for it, or otherwise distance himself from the comments. No, quite the opposite. He actually groups the antisemite and Elder together, and claims the former is trying to do PR for Israel. Note the reason I am using screenshots is he has deleted the tweets. Covering his tracks, much?

Based on what happened to Octavia Nasr, Clancy should be polishing his resume right about now. That is if CNN is going to be consistent in its application of its social media policies. You can make a credible case that what Clancy did with his Twittergasm of self-inflicted wounds is much more serious than Octavia Nasr’s comparatively meager output.

  1. Yet more good evidence for why journalists and cable news hosts should never answer negative comments; from bloggers and their commenters on social media – let alone engage in social media flame wars with them. Really stupid move by Clancy.

I expect Clancy will soon be joining the long list of experienced reporters and hosts leaving CNN as they transition to a reality show and documentary network.

  2. They end up tell the real story of who they are when they do stuff like this!

Just like Luke Russert did on Tuesday. All kinds of Jew hating, Republican hating media people all over the place!

Wow! Comparing anti-Semites to those who dislike Republicans is way over the top even for you Pam. Hating Republicans or Democrats, like you do, is common in the fringes of political ideologies and normal for true believers. Anti-Semitism or anti any religion, for that matter, is in many cases a crime.

  4. Oh good grief: the Jew hating refers to Clancy and the Republican hating refers to Luke Russert.

As far as the Jew hating being widespread in the media all you had tondo was watch the coverage during the Israeli/Hamas war and know where the liberal media landed in their viewpoint. Memory is a good thing.

^^So your view is opposition to Israeli political policies makes you a Jew hater and therefore an anti-Semite.

    Whatever.
