What’s on your mind?

  1. Tweet sent from the State Dept. Undersecretary Stengel:

    “Rick Stengel
Brutal criminal murder of Japanese citizen #Haruna Yukawa by the terrorist group #Daesh. Nothing religious about it.
    3:21 PM – 24 Jan 2015”

Obama administration pushing a narrative no one believes!

    IMO

  2. Lonestar, knock it off. No more references, allusions, inferences to the departed. I mean it. I’m trying to put this to bed and you are keeping it alive.

Can’t get video to load either from the Blaze or Mediaite? Hope JS pushed back hard. What an irresponsible (but typical) thing for Mohyeldin to say. And, he’s an NBC guy, not an MSNBC guy.

  5. Won’t it be Groundhog Election Day?: The hard right/more conservative candidates will splinter the primary vote – none will get a plurality much less a majority in the primaries – and the more centrist/less conservative candidate, I’ll guess Bush, will win out?

Why won’t that repeat itself? What has structurally changed since the last election that alters that?

  6. The Obama Administration – State, White House – is now refusing to call the Taliban – remember them? they were the ones who supported AQ, remember them?, they attacked us on 9/11 – terrorists.

Why? Because they/we are negotiating with them.

You don’t have to be Sean Hannity to be a bit disgusted with this game this Administration is playing.

  7. They refuse to see the world as it is. They continue to view it the way they wish it was. I think Obama really thought all the ills of the world were because of GWB.

  8. The Obama administration via the State Dept. had a meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood a few days ago. 2 days after the meeting the the same Brotherhood declared a “long, uncompromising jihad in Egypt”.

Egypt experts said the timing of this declaration is an embarrassment for the State Department.

Huh! Really? I do not think our administration is embarrassed by anything like this at all!

The people who should be embarrassed by this are the citizens who continue to support this administration by keeping their mouths shut and not calling them out!

  9. “The Obama Administration – State, White House – is now refusing to call the Taliban”
“Why? Because they/we are negotiating with them.”

^^Erich; I, don’t get what your talking about here? Do you mean they/we are calling the Taliban something other than the Taliban (and if so what are they calling them) or are they/we not talking to them at all – which would be strange as they/we are supposedly negotiating with them? Also are they/we not calling the Taliban the Taliban just here in the US or is it what they/we are not calling them in our negotiations with them in Afghanistan?

It’s unusual to see you upset by semantic stuff like this so it must be a somewhat serious affair.

  10. Fritz: are you playing dumb on purpose? Have you not been watching the press briefings from the WH? semantic games is all this administration gas been playing and this past week was worse than normal!

Eric Schultz, stepping in for Josh Earnest, looked like a fool this week and in no big surprise none of the big 3 covered his ridiculous statement.

  11. “Has this gotten any serious coverage?”

^^If you consider the NY Post, Daily Mail, National Enquirer, Gawker, Fox News etc. serious coverage; then the answer is yes. If you mean the MSM, in general, the answer is no.

    Bros gotta stick together, amiright?

Despite their lack of curiosity about their own bretheren, they HAVE been scouring the fields investigating…

As Snowmageddon continues to threaten the East Coast, I continue to be amazed at the gi-normous horseshoe the NFL has weged up it’s backside. If only the Super Bowl had been played in NYC this year instead of last…

  14. “Despite their lack of curiosity about their own bretheren, they HAVE been scouring the fields investigating…”

^^Well if Steve Kroft ever runs for POTUS I’m sure his high school and university days will be checked out by the press. And it’s not only Republicans who get this kind of treatment; Hillary has received it in spades over the years. It was only recently the right was up in arms over some minor correspondence between her and, I believe, Saul Alinsky when she was in college – and that, unlike pot smoking, was legal.

  15. MSNBC couldn’t have paid for better cross-promotion than what they got in the Super Bowl. Seattle Seahawks WR Chris Matthews had a breakthrough performance, including a touchdown. NBC kept saying he was playing “Hardball”.

  16. I don’t watch as much MJ as I used to but one recent change has me very puzzled. In the final hour they have moved the hosts and guests to a group of bar stools and occasionally a bar table separated by about 8′-10′ of space. This makes any conversation really uncomfortable for participants and difficult for viewers to watch. As well Joe seems to have been banned to the control room where he occasionally chimes in on headphones. WTF is going on here?

  17. I think that new format near the end of MJ is to give Mika more airtime. Plus, most of those segments are geared to women’s issues. I generally change my channel at that point to CNN.

  18. So despite Kroft’s paranoia over “right-wing zealots” and his apparent friendship with the President… there’s not much to talk about in terms of “media bias” or such?

Is that because we’ve all come to expect and understand the double standard?

  19. Good point farris about snomageddon and the SB. Wonder what would have happened if this had been last year. And if they’d ever go back to an open air cold weather stadium.

  20. “So despite Kroft’s paranoia over “right-wing zealots” and his apparent friendship with the President… there’s not much to talk about in terms of “media bias” or such?”

^^I agree. “There’s not much to talk about in terms of “media bias” or such” as it applies to “Kroft’s paranoia over “right-wing zealots” and his apparent friendship with the President…”

“Is that because we’ve all come to expect and understand the double standard?”

^^Yeah, that’s probably the reason blue.

  21. Trial is beginning for the guy who killed Chris Kyle. Any guesses on who will be the first to call that guy a hero or question why he’s not being called a hero?

  22. “Any guesses on who will be the first to call that guy a hero or question why he’s not being called a hero?”

    ^^Hannity?

  23. I don’t think you’re gonna win the pool, fritz!🙂
