Drip, Drip, Drip…

And the hits to FNC just keep on coming. The latest is anchor Kelly Wright and seven others joining a racial discrimination lawsuit previously filed against the network. Deadline’s Dominic Patten has more

Just three weeks after a trio of African-American employees of Fox News Channel filed an amended complaint of racial discrimination against the much tainted cable newer, eight more individuals have joined them in a potential class action – including current America’s News Headquarters anchor Kelly Wright.

“The only consistency at Fox is the abhorrent, intolerable, unlawful and hostile racial discrimination that was inflicted on minority employees that appears more akin to Plantation-style management than a modern-day work environment,” says the second amended class action complaint filed today (read it here). The plaintiffs include on-air host Wright, Mark Legrier, Mariela Lindsay, Vielka Rojas, Griselda Benson, Mauretta Thomas, Senami Tolode, and Musfiq Rahman. Having filed another amended action of their own on April 4 in New York Supreme Court, Tichaona Brown, Tabrese Wright and Monica Douglas are also a part of this jury trial seeking move.

  1. What;’s next – LGBT employees suing for harassment? I’m not sure how FNC plays this out. It does seem that unless your a straight white male the odds of you being abused by someone at Fox News are pretty much 100%.

Putting ‘The Five’ on in PT sounds like a shortsighted move to me. The hosts are always playing on the edge of saying something racist, s*xist, homophobic or misogynist. For a network being sued for bad behavior on a seemingly daily basis having a show on PT that only highlights that bad behavior would seem to be a risky step to take.

  3. Maybe that no-talent schlub Kelly Wright ought to ask Harris Faulkner if she feels as oppressed as he seems to think he is–

  4. Well that didn’t take long. Buzzfeed is reporting that new ‘The Five’ host Jesse Watters is going on “vacation” (been suspended) a day after he made a crude s*xist joke about Ivanka Trump’s microphone skills.

  5. A war against FNC and its hosts by MediaMatters et al. Isn’t it strange that all of these things are coming out at once, as the Murdochs (who lean far left and hate that FNC didn’t toe the liberal line) chortle with glee?

I’m no fan of FNC. I don’t watch it regularly. I found Bill to be obnoxious, Hannity to be stupid, the Five to be a bore, etc., but this smells far too much like an organized witch hunt over politics. A series of revenge killings against the channel for largely supporting Trump, while all of the others were attacking him.

This is the problem with the court of public opinion. Guilty until proven innocent.
