Tweets of the Day…

Rick Sanchez

if i didn’t believe in doing right thing, i’d be rich anchoring at fox news

and this

do u know how much money i’d make if i’d sold out as hispanic and worked at fox news, r u kidding, one problem, looking in mirror

You just know FNC won’t take this one lying down. Expect full blowback from Fox and Friends and O’Reilly…

Update: “i’d be rich anchoring at fox news”….is Sanchez implying that CNN ain’t paying enough and FNC would pay more?

Excellent shyte stirring. I’m starting to like that guy.

  2. missy5537 Says:

What makes him think Fox News would want him?

  3. laural1 Says:

I’d rather hear about his makeup requirements.

  4. bigred08 Says:

    What a douche.

Why doesn’t he just tweet, “Hey everyone, look at me, look at me.”

    Pathetic attempt to get attention.

  5. joeremi Says:

Um, Red, that’s kinda the whole idea behind Twitter. And why is everybody “a douche” with you? How old are you?

  6. last time I checked it was Sanchez’s network where Lou Dobbs has made a career out of negative reports about Hispanics.

afaik Sanchez has worked with some of the people at Fox too. real classy. also said Fox in prime time isn’t news, and if he means after O’Reilly comes on, well duh. obviously. Can’t believe I’m defending Fox because I can’t stand O’reilly/Hannity/Beck but their anchors are good, I don’t know why he’s calling them out.

  7. chipsohio Says:

Unfortunately for Rick Sanchez…he does not possess the talent, class, or temperment to work at FNC.

This is classic deflection…When you’re in last place say something bad about the competition to take the attention away from your dismal ratings.

  8. zonedaiatlas Says:

Someone should post a tweet on his Twitter page if he has ran over any pedestrians lately whiled drunk and then leaving the scene of the accident.

  9. stevemg Says:

The requirement – demand really – that someone must hold certain views because of his or her race is simultaneously stupid and odious. Among other things, it denies that person’s individuality and views them as a “thing” or group and not a complete human being.

But that’s the whole idea behind racial identity politics. And for me, it’s not a good idea. Not at all.

  10. bigred08 Says:

I guess doing “the right thing” to this “journalist” is interviewing your mom to give viewers a perspective on a Supreme Court nominee… or insisting that Cindy Sheehan is somehow still newsworthy (when her 15 minutes ended years ago)….or blaming Rush Limbaugh when a Pittsburgh cop gets killed.

Sure Rick. You’re an expert on doing the right thing. Just ask the family of Jeffrey Smuzinick.

Joe….not everyone is a douche. But I know one when I see one. Mr. Sanchez, sir, you are a douche.

  11. markde43008 Says:

This from a guy who interviewed his Mom?

Jeez, my wife’s family all watch FOX, and they’re die hard democrats, they just can’t stand the anchors at the “progressive” networks. The studies done showing that FOX the supposed “slanted and biased” network actually was the only fair minded one, and this yutz whines about them while working for the provisional propaganda wing of the DNC?

    uh huh,….

  12. firethewhiteguy Says:

‘last time I checked it was Sanchez’s network where Lou Dobbs has made a career out of negative (factual) reports about Hispanics.’

    Nuance….

  13. joeremi Says:

…not everyone is a douche. But I know one when I see one.

    THAT’S a good comeback. 🙂

  14. rpinedaicaza Says:

I guess hes looking himselft in the mirror, and looking at a sold-out, cheerleader, with no moral integrity and just a political agenda.

Just the types that makes the Catro’s, Chavez and Ortega’s of the world.

  15. He assumes FNC would actually hire his lame ass. He sucks as an anchor. Fox only hires the best in the business.

  16. He’s tooting his own horn.
Now that his hit-and-run from all those years back is common knowledge, he won’t be hired by FNC, MSNBC, or any other national news network. If he makes it big, it’ll be at CNN. Otherwise, eventually, his star will fade and he will spend the rest of his career in some local market or academia. Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble, but, as ‘ol Walter would say, “That’s the was it is.”

  17. Yes, let’s all pile on about his ancient DUI incident, with a few digs at his race, shall we? Preferably from people who rarely post here. What are you guys, the weekend shift?

  18. bigred08 Says:

They came over from Hotair, I would assume.

I’m no big Julie Banderas fan, but kudos to her on the comeback:

“As a wise Latina woman, I have no comment other than to say if I were Rick Sanchez, I wouldn’t look in the mirror, period.”

  19. lonestar77 Says:

Rick Sanchez is a tool but at least he’s at home tweeing about how much of a tool he is. I’d much rather him do that than, say, oh I don’t know, getting hammered and playing lets see how many dudes I can kill today with my sweet ride.

  20. Bunch of idiots. He didn’t get drunk and mow somebody down. He had a couple beers at a football game, as the victim likely did, too. The guy stepped in front of a car. That’ll tend to get you killed. Now drop it. The last time we went over this, Spud asked us to let it go. Have a nice weekend.

  21. bigred08 Says:

Joe, he also left the scene of the accident.

And considering he’s blaming other talk show hosts for the shooting deaths of Pittsburgh cops, he made his ACTUAL drunk driving killing fair game.

  22. zonedaiatlas Says:

Dr. Marc Lamont Hill posted a response on his Twitter page about Rick Sanchez…

@JulieBanderas I hear you. Sounds like he just wants a reaction from the brown/black folks at FNC.

  23. mlong5000 Says:

So basically “hit and run” Sanchez is calling any Hispanic that doesn’t think like him a Uncle Tom or whatever the Hispanic version is…that in itself is racist because it means all Hispanics must have the same mindset and have no freewill…he really is a douche isn’t he?

  24. blazermaniac Says:

Mr. Hit & Run Sanchez is a CNN Anchor. What a crock! Then again, Mr. Sanchez wants some attention, because he can’t get enough attention from his 21 viewers on CNN. He is just another member of the official “Kiss Barack Obama’s Ass Club”. FOX doesn’t want him and that makes him whiny.

  25. docweasel Says:

The answer is anyone who twitters is a douche

  26. unclearthur Says:

I can’t say as how I feel the weekend shift really adds a lot to the conversation.

    Dear Dobbs detractors,

I believe Dobbs is married to an Hispanic woman. And he does NOT go after all Mexicans and latinos; he is simply going after those who came here illegally.

    Comprendo?

  31. bigred08 Says:

Missy, therein lies the problem. There are those that believe anyone who wants to crackdown on illegal immigration is racist.

They don’t take into account the thousands, even millions of Latinos who are LEGAL immigrants, who want the U.S. to crackdown on illegal immigration.

It’s obvious the “post-racial” era Obama was supposed to usher in is anything but.

The race card continues to get played all the time. Just this week, it’s Sanchez, Obama, Gates, Dobbs detractors, etc.

Last week, anyone who talked negatively about Michael Jackson was racist.

  32. bushleaguer Says:

Picking a fight with Fox seemed to help out Olbermann…..I don’t blame Sanchez (and perhaps Campbell Brown, if she is tossing her hat into the ring) for giving it a try.

Personally it’s difficult to take him too seriously after the tazing video.

  36. mlong5000 Says:

Now “Hit and Run”Sanchez trying to backtrack and claiming he didn’t mean that any Hispanic working for FOX is a Traitor to their race just that he would be a traitor if he did (figure that one out) and blaming the Far-right and Neo-cons(codeword for Jews)for making a big deal about it.

  37. joeremi Says:

Mlong, what the hell are you talking about? “Neo-con” is a code word for “lets bomb the crap out of everybody”. Give me a break with the anti-Semitism crap.
