FNC is barking up a ‘process’ tree with this “Sestak offered a job” story. Political manuevering happens all the time. Backing Specter was stupid, but the gamesmanship behind it is no big deal…except to OMG Megyn. She just asked why this is “such a big story”. Without irony. That girl is amazing.
I’m pretty sure it is illegal to offer someone a government job to drop out of a primary race. Something to do with political favors and all that junk. I saw Joe talking about thia on msnbc a few days ago.
^And the person she asked about “why this is a big story” was Major Garrett…the only reporter to ask about it at yesterday’s press conference. You can’t be the one pumping up the story, and be the one asking why it’s pumped. That network. Is shameless.
Whether it’s technically legal or not isn’t the point. It’s a chess game played all the time to make sure your party is in good shape, not the scandal FNC is presenting it as.
In Formula One racing, 2-car teams aren’t allowed to blatantly stage a finish by making sure one car doesn’t pass his teammate; but everybody knows sometimes the finishing order (between the two cars) is prearranged to make sure the driver with a better shot at the championship doesn’t have his own teammate in his way. If they get caught redhanded doing it, there’s a penalty, but nobody thinks it’s unseemly.
As I said, the Obama team was clumsy, but to trump it up as an unprecendented scandal is disingenuous.
^
It’s shameless because it’s the only network that’s basically on top of the story. And oh by the way, It’s a federal crime. A crime was committed. Somebody is lying…
Also Meg Whitman is more qualified to be Governor of the state of California than Mr. “Community Organizer” as President of the United States… Get over it!
Everybody agrees Bill Clinton talked to Sestak. Who’s lying? And of course FNC is the only one making a big deal out of it. It’s what they do. Ask yourself if you would care if it was during Bush’s days. “We talked to this guy about maybe doing ‘this’ because we think this other guy has a better shot at ‘that’.” Would you really give a flip? I wouldn’t.
BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy? Daddy? Daddy, did you plug the hole yet? Daddy?
PAT GRAY (co-host): (imitating Obama) No I didn’t, honey.
BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy, I know you’re better than [unintelligible]
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Mm-hmm, big country.
BECK: (imitating Malia) And I was wondering if you’ve plugged that hole yet.
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Honey, not yet.
BECK: (imitating Malia) Why not, daddy? But daddy—
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Not time yet, honey. Hasn’t done enough damage.
BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy?
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Not enough damage yet, honey.
BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy?
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Yeah?
BECK: (imitating Malia) Why do you hate black people so much?
GRAY: (imitating Obama) I’m part white, honey.
BECK: (imitating Malia) What?
GRAY: (imitating Obama) What?
BECK: (imitating Malia) What’d you say?
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Excuse me?
BECK: (laughing) This is such a ridiculous — this is such a ridiculous thing that his daughter— (imitating Malia) Daddy?
GRAY: It’s so stupid.
BECK: How old is his daughter? Like, thirteen?
GRAY: Well, one of them’s, I think, thirteen, one’s eleven, or something.
BECK: “Did you plug the hole yet, daddy?” Is that’s their — that’s the level of their education, that they’re coming to — they’re coming to daddy and saying ‘Daddy, did you plug the hole yet?’ ” Plug the hole!
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Yes, I was doing some deep-sea diving yesterday, and—
BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy?
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Yeah, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, I was doing—
BECK: (imitating Malia) Why—
GRAY: (imitating Obama) Yeah, honey, I’m—
BECK (imitating Malia) Why, why, why, why, do you still let the polar bears die? Daddy, why do you still let Sarah Palin destroy the environment? Why are — Daddy, why don’t you just put her in some sort of a camp?
Beck was right. It was stupid. I’m sure he was pressured to make the apology. The kid was born July 4 1998 You’d think the kid was going to DC PUBLIC SCHOOLS instead of a private one. He probably did feel bad about acting like a 12 year old (in 5 weeks) was that stupid but come on. What’s Obama going to say next….the 12 year old still believes in Santa?
But once again, Obama is becoming Jimmy Carter. Jimmy got nuclear arms advice from 13 year old Amy.
This is just pathetic.
Besides the “do you hate black people” line is hilarious! We got to hear all those racists and race baiters use that excuse against Bush for everything.
Joe falsely claimed:
nd of course FNC is the only one making a big deal out of it.>
I guess you missed Hannity tonight when he showed a clip of all the times Gibbs had been asked about it at Press conferences. Back in March, he was going to get more info. Then they keep asking him and still nothing. Still nothing.
^I’m sure Mr. Beck appreciates your efforts to dismiss his apology as an insincere bowing to corporate pressure. I’m also sure the largely black population of DC schools appreciates that you’re not really a racist scumbag.
^Your ability to discern the difference between “a story” and “a big deal” could use a little work. I was specifically targeting Megyn’s trumpeting of the story with the Fox reporter that brought it up at yesterday’s press conference. It’s a common thread over there: build a Something into a Big Something, then talk to each other about This Big Story. It’s a story about amateurish backroom manuevering, not Watergate.
No Joe, obviously once again its you who don’t know anything about a subject. Its not the kids problems in DC. Its the teachers unions and leaders who don’t care about the kids there. And its not for the money they spend. For the money they spend per student, they could get an Ivy league education.
But lets see how they score
National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP),
Only 14% of 4th graders (around Mila’s age) scored at or above the 4th grade reading level!
As they got older it got worse. By the 8th grade only 12% were at or above 8th grade reading level.
For math, 4th grade. Once again only 14%
But when it came to 8th grade down to 8%.
Why do you think white people are in favor of school choice? To help out those kids. Why are liberals against it? Because of the teachers union and if they deny them a good education they keep them Democrats and beholden to the government. The biggest racists of all–liberals.
Yeah, that’s it, brother. Liberals want the kids to be stupid so they’ll grow up to vote Democratic. Even Glenn “they’re coming to get us” Beck would stop short of that one.
Laura, I’m not arguing the teachers union topic. Star is implying there’s some grand liberal plot to keep themselves in office by supporting bad schools. That’s pretty weird.
Not to change the subject but I am very scared. Tonight was the second night in a row Rick Sanchez has been in Campbell Brown’s chair. Is he going to be permanent? Surely, CNN knows better than that. He is a joke in the industry. Let’s see, Elliott Spitzer or Rick Sanchez? What choices..
Not just killed….hit and ran from the scene then used his families money to get away with it…That’s why I’ll keep calling him ‘hit and run”Sanchez..BECAUSE HIS CRIME SHOULD BE REMEMBERED every time he’s talked about.
I don’t know why, but every couple weeks my links get stuck in with spam. I guess my reputation precedes me. Give it a little copy/paste, if you dare.

For the love of God can we get campaign finance reform and get this woman off my television? “Being rich” is not a qualification for high office.
