What’s Hot/What’s Not: 07/08/12

What’s Hot:

Now You See It, Now You Don’t – One day HBO is planning on doing a movie version of Gabriel Sherman’s upcoming book on Roger Ailes, the next day it’s not…

The Morning Joe Production Company – Granted, it won’t be doing a production for HBO now, but I doubt this is the last time we’ll see Joe and Mika’s name attached to a production deal.

Anderson Cooper Comes Out – It sucked up the news cycle for at least 24 hours…

What’s Not:

Anderson Cooper Comes Out – And that was probably 12 hours too long…

News is our brand – Except when it’s substituted with shouting.

Stationary Biking – MSNBC’s The Cycle has not been off to the hottest start in cable news history…

  1. I know it takes time for a show to find its footing, but I’ve yet to get through an entire hour of The Cycle. It’s three people shouting and giggling over each other, while Steve Kornacki looks like he’d rather be having an adult conversation with Chris Hayes or Alex Wagner. It’s terrible.

  2. ^ I tried watching The Cycle last week for the first time. Had to turn it off at 20 minutes. It was like they couldn’t figure out anything to say so they just rambled. It was awful.
