Page Hopkins Resurfaces on MSNBC…

Former FNC anchor and Fox and Friends Weekend host Page Hopkins was sighted today doing afternoon updates on MSNBC. No word yet on whether she was just freelancing or this is the start of something. Recently, WNBC’s Lynn Berry has been seen filling in several times on MSNBC dayside as well…

  1. Oh. Wow. I’ll need a moment alone..

  2. I miss Page Hopkins on F&F. She’ll do good work wherever.

page hopkins on msnbc? i remember her always doing news updates for fox news back in the day. didnt see her on F&F, though. shes very good… i hope she joins msnbc. its always interesting to see fox and msnbc switch off anchors and personalities.

  4. I don’t see where she fits in, as they already have a surplus of dayside hosts.
Check out MSNBC on Wikipedia. They have the new Jan.11,2010 lineup posted. Don’t know the source but it looks correct.
    Some changes I noted.
Monica Novotny joins Christina Brown on First Look (5:00AM-5:30AM). Seems like a lot of hosts for a 5AM 1/2 hour show.
    5:30>9 same as now
    9-10 Todd & Guthrie
    !0-11 Contessa Brewer
    !!-12 Tamron Hall
    12-1 Dr. Nancy
    1-2 Andrea Mitchell
2-3 same split as current lineup
    3-4 David Shuster
    4-5 Dylan Ratigan
    5> same as now
    Weekends Witt & Ramberg
I not sure where Milissa Rehberger or Peter Alexander fit in if they do.

well, fritz, first of all, im glad that the beautiful Monica Novatny will switch off anchoring with the also beautiful Christina Brown, so i like that. i believe Mrs. Novatny was put in because of the departure of Dan Kloeffler. and second, Milissa Rehberger, i believe, is just a fill-in for anchors on the earlier hard news programs. same with Peter Alexander, who also does correspondent work, if im not mistaken.

on a side note, i would like to say, that i love this new lineup from msnbc. making dayside hard news and afternoon/evening opinion, especially with the addition of Dylan Ratigan, is great. as opposed to the misinformation on fox news’ “straight news” programs in the dayside, this is a breathe of fresh air.

  6. It was great to accidently stumble on Page Hopkins doing an update last night on MSNBC. Great to see her back. She is so good, I hope that she’s slated to do a show that has interviews because Page is a great interviewer.

Until MSNBC “fixes” their daytime lineup (especially 10am-4pm) MSNBC #’s will continue to suffer. The Dr. Nancy show & Mitchell report are really hard to watch (unless you’re looking for an insomia cure) & no network can afford to have the #’s that these two (2) shows have been producing.

  8. I thought it was criminal what happened last year on Fox and Friends weekend with the bust up of the Wright/Hopkins/Kelly trio and it would be nice to see Page back on cable…

  9. You are 100% correct. If there were any justice and appropriateness, Page would still be on FNC and certain airheads would be relegated to the loony bin channel.

  10. “and certain airheads would be relegated to the loony bin channel.”
I thought FNC was the loony bin channel? Sorry; couldn’t help myself. 🙂

  11. -bust up of the Wright/Hopkins/Kelly trio-

And F&F Weekend hasn’t been much worth watching ever since. And Camerota can only be expected to help the boys so much.
