Charlie Gasparino Profile…

The New York Daily News’ Richard Huff profiles FBN’s Charlie Gasparino…

Fox Business Network reporter Charlie Gasparino has one goal – to pummel the competition.

That’s why he’s at FBN, he says, and this week he marks his first year at the Fox-owned business news cable network.

“I’d rather be part of a startup,” Gasparino says.

At CNBC, where he worked before Fox, his goals were different, and, he says, not as appealing.

“The goal here is to beat the hell out of CNBC,” he says. “To beat the established winner is so much more satisfying. It’s so much more exciting than it ever was at CNBC.

OK now I’m convinced – starbroker = Charlie Gasbag!
With the latest ratings leak showing Fox Biz reaching 39k households a day, Charlie is probably going to be dead before Fox Biz beats CNBC.

Charlie, that’s fine; however, you might sit down with the Sr. VP, Cavuto, and give you more ar- time. Good luck, that wheezy puke hogs it all. And, his act of announcing, “if you don’t get it, damand it” is too old. WE don’t get it and not going to change my provider just to get it. I’ll have to stay with CNBC, since it on the shannel lineup; whose responsibility to “carry” is it? Why do they give a lofty title of Sr. VP…it’s not to come up with silly phrases and smugly tell your audience to demand it.

Harxh, yes; but I’ve heard enough of throwing your responsibility of being the managing editor and foisting the no carry of FBN on to your cable subscribers rather than making your product better.
