Abrams Says No to Obama on Fox News Sunday?

NewsBusters’ Noel Shepard has the trasncript of Friday’s Verdict with Dan Abrams where Abrams says Barack Obama should not do Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. Oddly enough the video of that segment is not on the MSNBC.com website…

On Friday, Dan Abrams of MSNBC voiced extreme displeasure with the announcement that Democrat Presidential candidate Barack Obama is finally going to be interviewed by Chris Wallace on this weekend’s “Fox News Sunday.”

This from a man whose very network has hosted numerous presidential debates despite moderators Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann being clearly in the tank for Obama.

Amazingly, this contradiction continues to elude the good folks at MSNBC as demonstrated by the following partial transcript of Friday’s “Verdict” (readers are cautioned to have a trash receptacle handy in case of involuntary retroperistalsis):

  1. What a shock. The Daily Kos Kids don’t want Barack to appear on Fox News Sunday…and sure enough, Abrams & MSNBC complain about the appearance.

After all, it’s really Daily Kos, Media Matters, and the New York Times that give MSNBC their daily marching orders.

And they are the only one’s watching MSNBC as well.

  3. KO was not “in the tank” for Obama early on, if at all. His Iowa coverage was almost dismisive of Obama.

  4. Let’s get back to Abrams.
If I may steal a quote from a brilliant Scottish man, “Shut the hell up, Dan Abrams, you sanctimonious whining jerk!”
This guy reminds me of that kid in school who was the smart kid and he knew it and he treated everyone else like they were below him. Actually, that’s pretty much everyone over at MSNBC. Is that a prereq?
Either way, what section of the Journalistic integrity handbook has the part where you tell the candidate (that you are not in the tank for) when and where and with who they may speak.
